Body contouring no longer has to mean extensive surgery with a lengthy recovery time. Now, you can choose from surgical, non-surgical and hybrid methods for improving the appearance and lines of your body. Three great options to choose are BodyTite, lipo and tummy tuck.

When considering these options, which is the one that is best for you? One way you can decide is to look at the results timeline for each.

Every body contouring procedure has its own results timeline to consider.

BodyTite Results Timeline

BodyTite is essentially a hybrid treatment, using an interior and exterior wand simultaneously to heat and eliminate fat. Since it doesn’t remove fat like liposuction or eliminate skin and tighten the muscles like a tummy tuck, results aren’t instant. Expect to see results in about 2 to 4 months.

Liposuction Results Timeline

Technically, liposuction results are instant – the fat is removed from the targeted area, leaving it smaller. The issue is that the body will reactively swell, which can hide these results temporarily. Expect to be able to really see and enjoy the full results in about 4 to 6 weeks.

Tummy Tuck Results Timeline

Tummy tucks, like liposuction, deliver immediate results that are obscured by swelling. Depending on how much of a change there was to make, you still might see a difference right away, but expect it to take 6 to 8 weeks before you can start to enjoy that difference.

If you aren’t sure which body contouring procedure is right for you, now is the time to discuss it with a qualified plastic surgeon. To schedule your consultation with Dr. Dellinger, call 512-229-1978 or fill out the contact form.
